Vote Amber Bonner for School Board

My name is Amber Bonner. I am running to represent Cedar Hills, Alpine, and Draper on the Aspen Peaks School Board- the group that will be tasked with setting up our new school district! I moved to Cedar Hills with my family in 2001, and my seven children attend (or have graduated from) Alpine District schools. I cherish the opportunity to be a mother and believe that the education of our children is a crucial role that parents undertake. I love to volunteer in our schools and have had the opportunity to do so nearly every week for more than 20 years. I represented the Lone Peak High School Area on the Alpine School District Board from 2019-2022. This gave me unique experience that will be valuable as we set up our new school district.
It is critical that we listen to the voices of our parents, teachers and community members to make our schools the best they can be. Board members should be proactive in reaching out to parents and employees to help them be involved in and informed about our schools. As a board member, I ran active social media accounts where I provided information, answered questions, and asked for feedback about decisions that the board was making. I would love to continue sharing information and facilitating conversations with our community members. I am happy to speak to patrons at any time via phone, email or text. There is no one that will work harder for your family than I will. I hope to earn your vote! If you have any questions or would like to contact me, please reach out at Amber4SchoolBoard@gmail.com.

Amber is a former Alpine School Board member, a 25 year Cedar Hills resident, and a proud mom of seven. With over 20 years of hands-on experience in our local schools—as a volunteer, substitute teacher, and PTA and SCC leader—she knows our community inside and out.
Amber champions clear, responsible budgeting that prioritizes students and teachers. She’s knowledgeable about school finance and pushed for smaller class sizes, and increased transparency—asking for proposed budgets without assuming property tax hikes. She is prepared to champion our new district and the needs of our community.
Amber is present in our schools and responsive to parents. Whether it’s through social media updates, phone calls, or school visits, she’s committed to keeping families informed and making decisions that reflect our community’s needs.
As we set up a brand-new school district, it is critical that we have board members who understand Utah law and school finance. Amber is an expert in these areas and has the experience to guide our new board forward in a fiscally responsible way.
